1. Overview
As an organizer, Airmeet allows you to choose a specific data center location from the available list. This option is available when you create a community.
2. Select your region data
Choose your data center while creating an organization or community on Airmeet and select from 3 regions:
India (default)
Ireland (Europe)
United States
Let's see how you can choose your data region while creating an organization or community.
Step 1: Click "Add new organization" from the community dashboard.
Step 2: Enter an "Organization name" and select your preferred region.
Note: Once an organization is created, the data & event cannot be transferred to a different region.
3. What data gets stored in the selected data centers?
Data at rest
All data relating to the Community (Team details, Video library, Integration configurations) are stored in the selected region.
All data relating to the Events created within the Community (Activity details, Event configurations, Speaker details, Booth details, Pre-recorded Videos, Session recordings) are stored in the selected region.
All Participant details are stored in the selected data center
Analytics data and reports are stored in the data center chosen
All logs generated during the event are stored in the selected region
Data in motion
Live Audio Video communication infrastructure our vendors provide (Agora, Daily.io) is localized to the region. While the Core video communication infrastructure will be based in the selected region (EU/US), participants can still join the event from other locations.
4. What data is stored in our global or vendor data center?
Data at rest
User Authentication details are stored in the Mumbai (India) region. This applies only when the event entry method is ‘Anyone can enter after sign-in.’
Backup recordings stored at the vendor, Agora, are deleted after a few days.
Data shared with Integrations enabled in your account (Mailchimp, Eventbrite, HubSpot, Zapier, SalesForce, Marketo, Eloqua, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, Microsoft Power Automate, Kahoot, DonorBox, Intrprefy, Youtube Live, Facebook Live, etc.) or via iframe Plugins will be saved in the third-party service’s location.
Our sub-processor for Single Sign-On (WorkOS) uses US-based infrastructure
Our sub-processor for Group Meetings (Daily.io) saves logs in the US region
Recordings for Group Meetings are stored in the Mumbai (India) region
Data in motion
Our sub-processor for RTMP sessions (Mux) uses US-based infrastructure.
5. Things to keep in mind
Once an organization is created, the data & events cannot be transferred to a different region.
New communities are created in the ‘Free’ tier. Please contact our support team to upgrade the new community to the correct plan.
Few features are NOT available for events hosted in US and EU regions -
