Q. What is Social Lounge?


The social lounge is the virtual space where the attendee can be seated at any table, move across the table, and interact with those at the same table in a mini-virtual conference. 


Webinar Format: The social lounge is available only when the session is not live or during the networking break.

Virtual Event Format: The social lounge is available throughout the event for participants to network with each other.




Q. I am in a lounge, and I cannot see my camera and mic options. What should I do?


Would you mind making sure that:

  1. Please make sure that you are using one of the supported browsers.
  2. Also, please check your camera and microphone permissions and give the same to Airmeet.
  3. You cannot see the camera and mic options alone on the virtual tables. You can only see it if you are with other participants.


Q. How to Join or Leave a Table in the Social Lounge?

a) Hover towards a particular table and click on "Join" to connect with other participants on the table

b) Click on the Cross (X) sign at the top to leave the table.




Note: There’s an exclusive hidden seat for the host. (Any table can be expanded up to seating 8-30 people, and the host can reside on any table at any instance, taking the total capacity to 9.)


Q. Can a host be present on two tables at once?

No, the host will have to leave a table, and only then can he join another table.



Q. Can an event organizer or event managers reduce the number of tables in the social lounge?

Yes, you can reduce the number of virtual tables using the "Edit Lounge" option.

Q. Can a host (event organizer) or event manager edit a table’s seating capacity during the live session?

The Event Manager (team member) has the ability to change the seating capacity of any table to a maximum of 8 (Free plan) or 15 / 30 / 125 participants (depending on respective paid plans) and a minimum of 1 chair. 


Q. As a host, can I join any table in the lounge?

As a host, you can join any table in the social lounge, irrespective of whether it's full or not. Click on join to join a table. Your profile picture may not appear on the table you had joined if the table was full before you joined. Instead, the "Host is here" message would appear on the top right side of the table where you have occupied the seat.


Q. Can we merge two or more small tables?

No, two or more small tables can’t be merged. Instead, you can increase the occupancy of any table to 15 / 30 / 125 participants (depending on the respective plan). 

Note: The host can move to any table, even if it is fully occupied.


Q. Can attendees edit the seating capacity of any virtual table?

Yes, attendees can edit the seating capacity of the virtual table only if the table is created by them.

Whereas the Event Managers (Team Members) can edit the occupancy for all the tables.



Q. Can speakers join lounge conversations?

Yes, speakers can join virtual tables at the social lounge.


Q. How to edit the Greeting Message in the social lounge?

The new social lounge update lets the host edit the welcome message to greet the users or share instructions during the live event. 

Step 1: Look for the “Edit Lounge” option in the top right corner of the lounge.

Step 2: Edit the message in the pop-up and click on "Save." Your message is live.



Q. Can I fix a table at 11 (or any particular number chairs?

yes, you can fix tables for every table. Hover over the table > Click on 3 dots > Enter the Number of seats.



Q. How to exchange information and details over Chat at the Virtual Table

Step 1: Click on the Chat icon.

Step 2: Send your message to all the participants available on the table.

Note: You won't be able to see past chats if joined in between.



Q. Can the event organizer restrict attendees from interacting with each other in the Social Lounge?


No, the event organizers can’t restrict attendees or participants from interacting in the Social Lounge. If you don’t wish your attendees to network, you can disable the social lounge. 




Q. How do I minimize a virtual table?
Click on the minimize icon in the top-right corner to minimize your table.





Q. What should I do if I am facing technical issues?
Click on, "Facing Problem?" at the top right for a quick system checkup. If that doesn't work, you can join our executives in the support lounge.
