Integrate Airmeet with ActiveCampaign

1. Overview


Easily sync ActiveCampaign contacts with your Airmeet event as participants.



2. Connect ActiveCampaign at the Airmeet Community level


Step 1: Log in at www.airmeet.com with your organizer id. Click on the Integration tab from the left-hand side of the community dashboard.


Step 2: Under the Apps section, search for ActiveCampaign and click on the "Connect" button.



Step 3: Enter the ActiveCampaign API URL & Token to connect ActiveCampaign account with the Airmeet account.



2.1. How to get the ActiveCampaign API URL & Token?


Step 1: Log in to your ActiveCampaign account. Click on the settings icon placed in the left-hand side corner.




Step 2: Click on Developer > Copy API URL & Key



Step 3: After entering the API URL & Key, click on Connect.


Note: Connecting ActiveCampaign to the Airmeet community is a one-time activity.

You don't need to repeat the above steps to connect it to another event later.


3. Connect ActiveCampaign at the Airmeet Event level


Once the ActiveCampaign is connected to the Airmeet Community, you can connect both platforms at the event level. Let's see how to enable the integration at the event level.


Step 1: Go to your particular Event dashboard and click on the Integration tab.


Step 2: Click on the Enable button, and under the General tab, select the ActiveCampaign List.




3.1. How to create an ActiveCampaign List?


Step 1: Go to "Contacts" from the left-hand side and click on "List."




Step 2: Click on the "Add a list" button in the right-hand corner.


Step 3: Enter the list details and click on "Save."

Step 3: Enable the direct access link of attendees, which will be added as content on ActiveCampaign in case of exporting data from Airmeet into ActiveCampaign.


3.2. Sync Airmeet to ActiveCampaign


Once you have selected the desired list and enabled the direct access link from the general tab, you can map the Airmeet registration fields with ActiveCampaign contact properties for adding/updating contacts in your ActiveCampaign account.



Note: Default mapping only includes the first name, last name, email, and job title fields. The user needs to map the other registration fields on the event integration settings page.




3.3. Sync ActiveCampaign to Airmeet


Map the Airmeet registration fields with ActiveCampaign contact properties here for pre-filling the registration form on Airmeet.


A unique link will be sent to the mapped contacts to enter the event on the email ID from ActiveCampaign.




3.3.1. How to add Contact on ActiveCampaign and map it to a list?


While performing ActiveCampaign to Airmeet data sync, you need to add a contact in ActiveCampaign and map it to a particular list.


Step 1: Click on Contacts from the left-hand side menu > Under Contacts > Click on "Add a Contact."




Step 2: Enter the Contact details keeping Name & Email id as mandatory fields.





Step 3: Select the same list as mapped (shown in point 3 above) from "Add to list" and click on apply.




Once the Contact is added to ActiveCampaign, you will be able to see the contact information on the Events dashboard under People > Attendees > Participants list.




3.4. Add Custom fields in Airmeet & ActiveCampaign.


3.4.1. Add Custom field on Airmeet


You can add a custom field on Airmeet by following the steps:


Go to Registrations tab > Registration Form > Change form > Edit the default form or add custom fields by clicking on +Add Custom Field.





3.4.2. Add Custom field on ActiveCampaign


You can create a custom field on ActiveCampaign and map the same on Airmeet. Let's see how you can add a custom field on ActiveCampaign.


Click on your "Contacts" icon > "Fields" > Click on "Add Field." > Enter the Field name, group, and field type and click "Add."





3.5. Engagement data sent to ActiveCampaign from Airmeet


You can select the engagement data that you wish to send to ActiveCampaign from Airmeet. This data is added as Contact Notes in ActiveCampaign.




4. Things to keep in mind


  • Participants registered for the Airmeet Event before enabling this integration for the event will not be added automatically. You must export from Airmeet and upload a CSV file in ActiveCampaign to add those participants.
  • Default mapping only includes the first name, last name, email, and job title fields. The user needs to map the other registration fields on the event integration settings page.
