Issue symptoms

Users may experience specific audio-related challenges on the Airmeet platform subsequent to the installation of macOS Sonoma, with call quality concerns being particularly pertinent.

The following are examples of these issues:

  • Difficulty in recognizing audio devices.

  • Audio issues, such as no sound input or output.

  • Extended delays due to latency or other network-related issues

  • Difficulties from enabling macOS Sonoma's new "voice isolation" feature, including unintended muting of sounds captured by a user's microphone

Resolution steps

The Airmeet team is actively collaborating with our partners to address and resolve these issues.

We currently advise all customers to refrain from upgrading to Mac OS 14.0 "Sonoma" until these issues have been satisfactorily resolved.

If you are facing any audio-related issues (like echo, spike noises), kindly consider using Mozilla Firefox until further update. Additionally, we advise disabling the new "voice isolation" feature for the time being and use "Standard" mic mode

As further information becomes accessible, we shall proceed to update this page.
