1. Overview
Track and evaluate the performance of each campaign, medium, and source. This insight empowers organizers to refine their event strategy, invest in channels that work, and tailor their approach for maximum engagement and ROI.
UTM or Urchin Tracking Module, is the simplest way to use codes in event URLs to track the event registrant's analytics data, such as source, medium, content, campaigns, and much of the event entry traffic, which will in turn help the organizers promote their events effectively.
After setting up these UTM tracking links, save and replicate them across relevant platforms such as invitation emails, dispatched through CRMs like HubSpot. This strategy allows you to effectively monitor and assess the performance of your campaigns, mediums, and sources.
2. Create UTM-enabled event URLs
Step 1: Go to your events dashboard and click on the "Registration tab.". Select the Event Entry section and look for Registration Source Tracking URLs.
Step 2: Click on the "+Create" button. Enter the UTM Source, Campaign, Medium, Term and Content.
Step 3: Click on "Save.". An UTM-based event link is created that can be shared on different platforms.
Step 4: All the created links can be viewed on the dashboard itself, and the UTM-based event link can be copied, edited, and deleted from the dashboard.
3. How will the UTM data will show up on the Event Analytics Report
Airmeet captures these tags for each registration and shares an overview in the Airmeet analytics dashboard.
To find the same, click on Analytics > Registrations > Traffic Attributes.
Further, a detailed report containing a registration-wise UTM parameter report can be found on the analytics dashboard itself.
To find the same, follow the steps below:
Step 1: On the event dashboard, click on Analytics > Users > +Add to add a new column.
Step 2: Select the Registration Details to find and select the UTM traffic attributes.
Once the required traffic attributes are selected, they will appear on the dashboard, as shown in the image below.
Please note that it will take some time for the data to appear on the dashboard after the attendees have registered for the event.
4. Things to keep in mind
- If the embedded registration form is required instead of the Airmeet landing page, then, depending on the iframe permissions provided by the parent page, Airmeet might or might not be able to capture the URL to generate the attribution analysis report.
- UTM generator is currently not available in the "Airmeet Event Series."
- UTM parameters are not displayed in the case of Early Access.
- UTM tracking is possible for embedded registration form via JavaScript code.
