1. What is the “Auto-close Registrations” feature?
The Auto-close Registrations feature allows organizers to automatically stop new registrations once a set capacity limit is reached.
It helps you control the number of attendees for your in-person events without manually monitoring or changing event entry to private.
Example Use Case
Let’s say you’re hosting an in-person conference with limited seating (e.g., 300 seats).
You can set the auto-close limit to 300, and once 300 people register, Airmeet will automatically disable new registrations—saving you from manually monitoring the count.
2. How do I enable auto-close registrations?
Follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Go to your Event Dashboard. Navigate to the Registration section.
Step 2: Click on “Registration Access.” This option is available under the Registration tab.
Step 3: Toggle ON the “Auto-close registrations” setting. Once enabled, a field will appear to enter your registration capacity.
Step 4: Enter the auto-close capacity limit. Specify the maximum number of attendees allowed to register. Once this limit is reached, the registration form will automatically close.
3. What happens when the capacity limit is reached?
Once the entered limit is reached:
a. Attendees will no longer be able to register for the event.
b. Organizers will not be able to add registrants manually through CSV uploads or API integrations.
c. The landing page will display a message indicating that registrations are closed.
4. Can I change the capacity limit later?
Yes.
You can increase or decrease the limit anytime—up to your event’s current registration cap.
? Example:
If your limit is set to 500 and you need to allow 50 more attendees, simply update the number to 550. The registration form will reopen automatically.
5. Does this feature apply to all event formats?
No.
The Auto-close Registrations feature is available only for in-person format events.
It is not applicable to virtual or hybrid formats.
Things to keep in mind
- ✅ Once the limit is reached, registrations are automatically closed.
- ❌ No further registrations can be added via CSV upload or API.
- ⚙️ The limit can be adjusted anytime before reaching the overall registration cap.
- ?️ Applicable for in-person events only.
